Delighting in Babies-Baby Shower Event:Hotslings Review and Giveaway

I love being a mom and watching each of my kids grow up. I just wish they did not grow up so quickly. As a result, I am trying to enjoy every minute that I have with my newest little one. I still can't believe that he is three months already. There are days where I think I could just hold him all day long, and of course, there are days, where he does not want to be put down. However, if I held him all day long, my arms would be tired and nothing would ever get done, so I started thinking that maybe I should try out a sling. When I came across Hotslings, I thought here is my solution.

Why Hotslings?
Dedicated to being on the cutting edge of fashion, the Hotslings brand brings a fresh perspective to traditional baby and parenting products-perfect for active parents who want to simplify their lives but not compromise their style.
  • Promotes bonding
  • Calms fussy babies
  • Machine washable
  • Wear sling on either shoulder
  • Sleek, minimal padding built in for comfort & support
  • Great for nursing moms
  • Multiple carrying positions
  • Instructional booklet included and videos available online
My thoughts:  As I browsed their website, it was hard to choose which sling I wanted to try out. I chose Silhouette because I loved the design and I figured black goes with everything. Next it was time to give it a try and the perfect opportunity arose. We were going to play a game with my husband's family. However, our little one wanted to be held and I thought how am I going to play while holding him? So I put on my sling following the directions in the instructional booklet. It was easy to put on, and I loved the idea of being close to him while having my hands free. It was also very comfortable to hold him as well. He just looked so cozy and cute! The idea of having my hands free while holding him makes life a little easier. I also like the idea of putting him in a sling when we go out instead of carrying him around in his car seat. Carrying him around in his car seat to me is like lifting weights-it is so heavy. The Hotslings AP is easy to use, allows you to carry your baby in a variety of positions based on weight, and is safe for babies 8-35 pounds. It is adjustable so that it can fit on multiple users and accommodates postpartum body changes. I also love that mine came with a matching diaper pod.
