My youngest son loves Batman! He was Batman for Halloween and continues to wear his mask around the house quite often. So he was very excited when he found out that we were going to review Batman: The Brave and the Bold DVD. This DVD contains episodes from the series that airs on the Cartoon Network. Here is a brief synopsis:
Batman wings into an exciting new era, teaming with a mighty honor roll of DC Comics Super Heroes in this action-packed series. Through the show's final 13 Animated Adventures in this 2-Disc Collection, the Dark Knight allies with Aquaman, Plastic Man, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Wildcat, Deadman, Bronze Tiger and Atom to take on an array of evildoers ranging from mad scientists to intergalactic crooks, from power-mad dictators to out-of-control teenagers. He even travels to a parallel world, becoming the villainous Owlman! In this cool, cutting-edge and often funny series bringing back old-school comic-book styling and dry wit to crimefighting, Batman faces any peril-including other heroes stealing the show-in his relentless pursuit of justice.

Our Thoughts: My kids were so excited to watch Batman. My oldest son's favorite villains are Joker and Penguin, so he was curious if they would make an appearance in the cartoon. He was not disappointed. They show up in the episode Legends of the Dark Mite! In this episode, Bat-Mite, who is Batman's biggest fan from the 5th dimension, follows Batman around in order to help him become the one true hero. When Batman suggests Bat-Mite be Batman, Bat-Mite must face many of Batman's villains including Joker and Penguin. Although, they do not talk, my oldest son still loved this episode.
This DVD caught my boys interest and they wanted to sit down and watch all 13 episodes in one sitting. I would definitely recommend this DVD to any Batman fan!
Disclosure: I received a copy of the DVD in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own and are my honest opinion.
Another great movie review! You are so lucky to get all of these DVD reviews!
