This past week, I enjoyed staying home with my two boys on their mid-winter break. We enjoyed watching movies, playing board games, and just hanging out with each other. We played volleyball, football, basketball, skiiing, all from the comfort of our own home (and even in our pajamas). How did we stay so active without going out in the cold and snow? We played the Jumpstart Get Moving Family Fitness Wii Game.
For Christmas, we decided to buy the boys the Wii. We were not sure if they might be too young, but they love it. I love that it is possible to play video games that keep you active, so I was very excited to review the Family Fitness Game. In the game you can play more than 15 different sport challenges. You will train will Brooke Burke (Co-Host and Champion of Dancing with the Stars).

You will train will Brooke Burke (Co-Host and Champion of Dancing with the Stars).
Our thoughts:
First, my boys loved that you can create your own character. They wanted my character to have pink hair. Second, I love the variety of sports challenges. My favorite was the volleyball! While I do not like playing volleyball in real life, I quite enjoying playing the Wii game. In real life, I always seem to hurt my fingers. You can also choose your level of difficulty, so it was easy enough for my four year old to play. Actually, he was better at basketball than I was. Third, the boys loved that you can change the location of your challenge. We played volleyball with a castle in the background, and then we played basketball in space. There are eleven locations you can choose from. Last, I love that you can be active in this game. When we played basketball, we would jump as we shot the ball, and when I did the football tire run, I was actually running. At the end of your game, it also tells you how many calories you could burn by playing that challenge. Overall, I enjoyed playing together with my two boys.
