Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion Review and Giveaway

As soon as the winter time hits, someone in my family gets very chapped hands. Usually it is my oldest son, my husband, and myself. My husband got it the worst this year, so he was ready to try out Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion.

Skin MD Natural is a shielding lotion scientifically developed for your face, body, and hands. A shielding lotion does the real work to prevent dry skin in two ways. First, it assists the inner layers of skin to absorb moisture. The humectant (an ingredient that attracts moisture) used in Skin MD Natural is unique to it and has been laboratory tested to be 6 times more effective than any other you will find in common creams. Second, a shielding lotion enhances the power of the top layer of the skin to resist environmental irritants protecting the inner natural moisture. This can be a big benefit for those who cook, wash dishes and garden because Skin MD Natural helps skin retain its natural moisture and oils in the face of all those irritating soaps and chemicals.

When you check out their website, you can read reviews from users as well as dermatologists. So what did my husband think? My husband's hands were quite dry and chapped. Although the directions said to apply it every 2 - 8 hours when first starting to use it, my husband felt he needed to apply it every hour. He liked that it was not greasy or had a fragrance. What also interested me when reading about the product, is that 93% of the ingredients are natural and/or plant-based natural ingredients. After a week's time, he did notice a significant difference and did feel it was better than any other lotion he has used for his dry, chapped hands.

Interested in finding a better skin care product? This product retails for $18.

  54. I learned that a conventional lotion is not formulated to protect the skin the same way a shielding lotion does. "Conventional lotions only add surface moisture to temporarily alleviate the dryness or itching" whereas shielding lotions are more effective because they "bond with the skin and protect it for long periods of time."
