Everything Christmas Book Review and Giveaway

I absolutely love Christmas! I love driving past decorated houses, putting up our own Christmas tree, watching Christmas videos, and singing Christmas carols. I love spending quality time with my family, and listening to the Christmas story of Jesus' birth on Christmas Eve. So when I was asked to review the book Everything Christmas, of course I said yes. Everything Christmas, by David Bordon and Tom Winters, has a compilation of Christmas stories, carols and poems, recipes, and trivia.

Looking for the lyrics for the second verse of Silent Night? Need a new cookie recipe for your family's annual cookie-baking night? Everything Christmas is a cornucopia of seasonal cheer that will enrich any family's holiday festivities.

Corresponding with the days of Advent, Everything Christmas brings together the best ideas for celebrating the most wonderful time of the year-all in one place! Classic Christmas stories and new ones destined to become family favorites, mouth-watering Christmas recipes, lyrics to treasured hymns and carols, inspirational poems, decoration ideas, trivia, and Christmas humor will all help you and your family make this Christmas season one to remember!

One of the interesting things that I learned from this book, was that there is a legend that the song, The Twelve Days of Christmas, was written to help children remember important parts of their faith. For example, the true love was God, and the three french hens stood for faith, hope, and love.

Win it: Two lucky readers will win a copy of Everything Christmas.

Mandatory Entry: Leave a comment telling me something you love about Christmas.

  26. My favorite thing about Christmas is that I get to buy people stuff and it is acceptable. There is nothing I love more than to find the perfect gift for someone and see that look on their face when they open it and they actually love it. No fruit cake gifts here. Well, except for my mother-in-law, but tbh she loves fruitcake.

  30. Christmas is different for me each year. Some years the focus is on family. This year my family is scattered all over the country. Our focus will be on thinking of what we can do for others. :)
