Mill Creek Entertainment has released a set of eight children and family titles from Cookie Jar Entertainment on DVD. I was very excited to have the opportunity to review all eight, which included: Mona the Vampire, Nanoboy, Horseland, Busytown Mysteries, Super Duper Sumos, Richard Scarry, Wimzie's House, and World of Quest. Each DVD has 10 episodes, as well as a bonus episode.
My two boys were thrilled when the DVDs came in the mail, and it was hard to choose which one to watch first. They picked Mona the Vampire, and that seems to be their favorite one, with Super Duper Sumos and Busytown Mysteries as their second and third favorite. Mona the Vampire, is such a cute DVD about a little girl who has a great imagination. For a little information about each of the DVDs, just click on the links above and it will bring you to that DVD's facebook page. As Mona the Vampire's page states:
Decked out in her dining room curtain cape and glow-in-the-dark fangs, the ten year-old investigator is on the case. With the help of her sidekick Fang, the vampire cat, she tracks down bizarre solutions to baffling mysteries that plague her town. She may not be a real vampire, but she’s as close as they come. She's a little girl with a BIG imagination, inventing the world around her as she goes along.
This set has become a great addition to our DVD collection. If you are interested, the DVDs are available at Toys R Us, Amazon.com, and Crazyape.com. Although the retail price of each DVD is $9.98, right now at Crazyape.com you can buy each one for $4.99.
Win It: I am very excited that Mill Creek Entertainment has offered to giveaway the entire set of 8 DVDs to one of my lucky readers.
