K'NEX Review

My two boys love to create things. Sometimes it is a tower with their building blocks, or a house with their Lincoln Logs. Even a piece of paper has been transformed into a beard or a treasure map. They have such great imaginations and their creativity amazes me. So I was so excited when I learned that I would have the opportunity to review K'NEX Products.

It felt like Christmas when the box arrived. K'NEX was very generous and sent me 8 different products. Three of the products were sent for my youngest son and are made specifically for ages 2+. He was so excited as he pulled out the Swim Time Ernie Building Set, the Kick It! Elmo Building Set and the Cookie Monster's Basketball Building Set. These sets were perfect for him since he loves just about any sport, as well as swimming. The Swim Time Ernie Building Set comes with 14 pieces for your child to build Ernie dressed in his bathing suit, snorkel, and flippers. The Kick It! Elmo Building Set comes with 13 pieces where your child can build Elmo dressed in his soccer uniform. The Cookie Monster's Basketball Building Set comes with 15 pieces where your child can build Cookie Monster dressed in his basketball uniform and visor. Each of these sets, which cost $12.99, comes with a storage container to help make cleaning up easy.

My oldest son was thrilled to receive 5 different sets. He received all four sets of the Collect & Build Construction Crew Series, which included the Excavator, Front Loader, Steam Roller, and Backhoe. Each of these sets are for ages 5+ and cost $11.99. In each of these sets the number of pieces ranges from 120 to 127. Each set comes with bricks, rods, and connectors to help your child build a construction vehicle. Each set also comes with a K'NEXman ready to run the construction vehicle.

The last set that we received was the Fire Rescue 10 Model Set. The set contains 127 pieces, and comes with instructions and ideas for building 10 different models, including a fire engine. It also includes a spring motor. This set is for ages 5+ and cost $11.99.

I was thrilled to review these products and they lived up to my expectations. My children were excited about building and playing with each of these sets. Not only are they fun to play with, but they are great developmental toys as well, helping my children with their hand-eye coordination. As stated on their website: K'NEX is the next generation of construction sets. It inspires creativity, builds self-confidence and encourages interaction among children and parents. The possibilities are endless!

Disclosure: I did not receive any monetary compensation for this post. I was given the K'NEX products for review. All opinions are my own and are my honest opinion of the products.
